I earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida, and went on to earn my Master’s in Accounting. While pursuing my degree at the University of Florida, I found more than my degree; I found love, got married and made a new home in Gainesville, FL. In 2020, I became a mom to the handsome boy who has taken over my Instagram page. 

My career took off with James Moore, one of the largest and fastest growing North Central Florida accounting firms. In my role as a CPA,CIA Manager, I worked with both the tax team and the controllership team. My CFO hat was my favorite hat to wear. As controller, I managed all accounting functions for my lengthy list of clients. This included preparing financials, processing payroll, onboarding new employees, and walking them through the flood of crises presented at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Who stepped in when managers left their roles with no notice? I did. My superpower was and continues to be, providing my clients with the security, leadership, and expertise they need to succeed.

I began to crave a more individualized approach for my clients. As my accounts stacked up and started to increasingly become numbers instead of individual people with unique needs, I dove into developing a business that was more aligned with my values. That’s when BeMore Accounting & Consulting was born.
